Cut-away Modern

This classic style belongs to the family of full-spread collars. It is popular because more of the front of the shirt is visible. As the name suggests, the collar points are spread wider than on a regular business collar. The Modern cut-away is slightly lower than the Cut-away Classic collar.

Cut-away Extreme

This collar gives your shirt a distinctive look. As the name suggests, the collar tips are cut at a wider angle and point almost backwards. The wider opening between the collar tips leaves room for a broader tie and a larger knot.

Cut-away Two button

This modern cut-away collar gets its name from its two buttons. It is slightly higher than regular cut-away collars, and the 9 cm collar points have sewn-in collar stays for a firmer feel. This collar works well with a tie and a double Windsor knot or other double knots. Its height makes it a good choice for those with a longer, slimmer neck.

Button-down Classic

As the name suggests, this collar has buttons that hold the tips down. Originally designed for polo players to keep the collar out of the way while riding, it is a classic part of shirtmaking history. It is best suited to more casual shirts, but can also be worn at the office. Just remember to keep the collar tips buttoned.

Mao

This collar goes by many names: Mao collar, China collar, mandarin collar, or band collar. We call ours the Mao collar, as that is the most commonly used name. It consists only of a band around the neck and cannot be worn with a tie.
